Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services:
During any serious
emergency, we need information about your pet's condition as
soon as possible. Our hospital is equipped with the necessary
equipment to provide in-house diagnostic and therapeutic
services. This gives us the ability to have life-saving
information about your pet within moments of their arrival to
ensure their well-being and proper care.
Surgical Services:
In the event of any necessary surgical
procedures, our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the
performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures. Whether
your pet suffers from a minor laceration or a major traumatic
injury requiring immediate life-saving surgery, we are staffed
and equipped to handle almost any emergency surgical need.
Anesthesia:
We utilize the safest available anesthetics
to provide that extra margin of safety, especially for our older
or high risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the
patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic
procedures.
Endoscopy:
We offer endoscopic services such as retrieval
of esophageal and gastric foreign bodies, biopsy and the
placement of feeding tubes. The endoscope is ideally suited for
removal of foreign bodies and biopsy acquisitions, our rigid and
flexible endoscopes can also be used for visual monitoring of
medicinal therapy for the full range of small animals
Ultrasound:
We have an ultrasound on site to help us
gather rapid information to better assess our most emergent
patients. Patients can be referred if a more in depth ultrasound
is required.
Neurology Consults:
We offer in-hospital referrals to a
board certified veterinary neurologist who performs CAT scans,
MRI studies, neurosurgical services and helps us with the
diagnosis of more complicated cases.
Radiology Services:
Our on-site, modern X-ray equipment
provides the highest quality radiographs and x-rays to aid in
the diagnosis of many disorders and injuries.
Electrocardiography Services:
We provide ECG services
on-site as well as referral to nearby specialists if needed for
continued diagnosis and treatment of cardiac disease.
Oxygen and Respiratory Services:
We have a variety of
oxygen delivery options for your pet including but not limited
to, nebulizers for delivering medication directly into your
pet's respiratory tract and an on-site ventilator should your
pet require assisted breathing.
Laboratory:
Our in-house laboratory facilities provide
for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and
parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary
laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
Pharmacy:
We maintain a complete inventory of
pharmaceuticals to provide for your pet during an emergency
situation. We always ask that you visit your vet to purchase
medications to prevent fleas, ticks and heartworms and to get
refills of your pet's on-going medications.
Exotic Pets:
Several of our veterinarians also care for
exotic pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, hedgehogs,
sugar-gliders, rats, hamsters, birds, snakes, lizards, turtles
and a variety of other less traditional pets. We ask that you
first call to make sure that one of our "exotic" veterinarians
is available to see your pet in otherwise we may have to call a
doctor in.

In the event that you suspect your pet may have
ingested a potentially poisonous substance, we ask
that you call or visit the ASPCA Poison Control
Center (http://www.aspca.org/apcc)
so that you may take immediate counteractive
measures before transporting to our facility.
